Product Development
Our new 35,000 sq-ft Product Development Center in Montrose, MN is the base of manufacturing operations for customer prototype part development. In-house project management and tooling professionals work with your engineers and program managers to develop the processes needed to support your component design requirements and build schedules.
Tooling, casting, machining, finishing and inspection operations are located on-site to retain optimum control over lead-time and quality. The net effect is a seamless flow of product from tool design to project completion. All facets of the prototype manufacturing process are closely controlled to ensure final product meets your design and project specifications.

Sand Casting
Prototype pattern and corebox tools are designed using your 3d CAD data and are built for our precision airset molding process. Using these "soft tools', we can produce both ferrous (gray and ductile iron, carbon and stainless steels), as well as non-ferrous (aluminum, zinc, copper base), castings. Tooling and raw castings can be turned around in as little as 2-3 days, with 2-3 weeks being typical. After casting, critical features are machined to datum utilizing our precision CNC machining operation.
Investment Casting
An excellent choice for small, highly detailed parts, investment castings can be produced using soft tools or directly from a 3d CAD file depending on the scope of your project. Delivery is typically 1-1/2 to 2 weeks for raw castings and machining may or may not be needed to control part specific tolerances.
