CNC Machined Parts from Solid Stock
Whether you are looking to produce small, intricate parts or large complex items, Craft has the resources to get the job done right. Flexible CNC machnining centers, coupled with a diverse offering of metal and plastic materials, affords us the ability to accommodate your machining needs. Our CMM equipped inspection department ensures parts are machined and produced in accordance with your expectations.
Injection Mold Tooling and Plastic Parts
Craft Pattern & Mold can turn prototype and low volume injection molds and parts in days, not weeks or months. Mold tools are custom designed and built to suit your budget and application. From simple "open and shut" molds to complex coring and multi-shot tools, we have the experience, know-how and equipment to produce professional results. Our production mold facility offers a broad selection of materials to choose from, ensuring you get the parts that satisfy your application needs.
Rapid Prototypes
- SLA - Typically used for design verification. A diverse range of polymers are available, including ABS and Polypropylene like materials as well as traditional Water Clear resin blends.
- SLS - Tough, durable resins suitable for functional testing needs
- FDM - Advanced engineering materials for true, real life design confirmation.
Cast Urethane
Urethane parts are easy to produce and can be custom cast in a wide variety of hardness's (durometer) and rigidity. Over-molding of multiple components using cast urethane is a popular and cost saving strategy when combining parts of an assembly. Finished parts can be machined as well as painted. The ability to use FDA, medical and fire retardant materials makes cast urethane a viable option for your plastic prototyping needs.
Fiberglass
Commonly used as an alternative to vacuum forming and injection molding, fiberglass offers the unique ability to manufacture very large, relatively simple parts at low cost. Ribbing, bosses and other mounting features can be integrated as the part is made, saving valuable time as well as adding to the overall strength and durability of the finished product. Painting and secondary finishing ensures parts are not only functional, but professional looking as well.
Vacuum & Thermoforming
Vacuum forming of plastic parts is a quick, inexpensive method of producing plastic parts such as fenders, hoods, shrouds and covers. Tooling usually consists of a wood or modeling board pattern rigged, vented and mounted for use in a production thermoforming machine. Parts can be formed with a wide variety of materials, thicknesses and colors to suit your application needs. Structural pieces can easily be bonded into the formed parts for ribbing, mounting and bracket features.
